Restoration
Previous Planning Permission
Previous owners have submitted (but not executed on) plans for the Tower and land that were approved by Falkirk Council. Council staff were kind enough to scan the related documents and put them online.

These permissions have now lapsed. However, we are hopeful that our own plans, once properly formulated, will be received in a similar spirit by the local authorities.

Goals
Our current goals, most of which we know will require planning permission, are:

-
Clear excess vegetation so structure can be accessed
-
Assess current structure for safety and viability for restoration
-
Beautify cemetery, footpath, and garden
-
Stabilize structure for safety and future work
-
Inventory and assess reusable building materials
-
Prepare and propose designs for restoration

We have in mind a sympathetic restoration that will combine historical accuracy and preservation with appropriate enhancements to ensure the Tower is given a long and useful life.
